Invest Pahang exhibition at the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) 2024
KUALA LUMPUR, 26th JULY 2024 :The Pahang State Government has secured investments worth RM7 billion as of the second day of the Invest Pahang exhibition at the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) 2024.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of the Pahang State Secretary Corporation (PSK), Puan Haslina Bahasan, at least 12 investors have also shown interest in investing in Pahang so far.
"And as of today and tomorrow, we have 12 prescheduled meetings at the international and Malaysian levels. If we can secure 50 percent of these investors, it will be sufficient for us.
We estimate that these 12 investors could bring between RM1.5 billion and RM1.8 billion. This includes several high-impact projects in renewable energy, mixed-use and commercial development, and high-impact agriculture. Out of these 12 investors, we believe we can secure five," she said.
She made these comments during an interview at the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) 2024, Main Stage, Hall 2, @ SPARK Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).
She also mentioned that Invest Pahang, participating in the exhibition for the second time, has brought 10 exhibitors consisting of state government-linked companies (SGLC), affiliates, and strategic partners, and successfully attracted RM2.2 billion in investments last year.
