MPNP Collaboration with UMP promotes Harmony Among Workers & Sustainable Economy
Kuantan, 6th July 2023 : Majlis Pekerja Negeri Pahang (MPNP) in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) today held the Workers Harmony, Sustainable Economy Discourse Program at Swiss-Bellhotel.
The program has successfully attracted more than 100 participants consisting of offices, agencies, NGOs, institutes of higher learning and industry players in the state of Pahang.
The discourse program featured Prof. Madya Dr. Mohd Azmir (Director of the Center for International Relations UMP) as moderator and a panel consisting of YH. Dato' Kamarul 'Arifin bin Ahmad@Abd Rahman (Investment and Business Officer of the state of Pahang), YH. Dato' Shahrul Nizam bin Abdul Aziz (Chief Executive Officer of Tanah Makmur Group Berhad), Encik Hisham bin Abdul Rahman (Director of SOCSO Pahang) and Dr. Mohd Hanafiah bin Ahmad (Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Management UMP).
Coordination of this program is as one of the mediums for the state of Pahang to acquire inputs and know for sure the initiatives that can be implemented to handle issues related to labor in the industrial parks of the country such as work mismatch, shortage of skilled workers, the readiness of the workforce to face challenges 4.0 industrial revolution and others that involves labor issues in Pahang.
This is in line with the government's desire to create a conducive investment ecosystem and follow the development of upstream and downstream industries in Pahang.
Majlis Pekerja Negeri Pahang hopes that the results of this discourse program can provide positive results for the development of the Action Plan and Strategic Plan Workers Council of the state of Pahang 2023-2028.
