RM41 Million Agro-food Fund Financing Passed in Pahang
CAMERON HIGHLANDS, OCTOBER 24, 2022: A total of RM41 million worth of financing involving 187 applications for the State Food Ranking of Pahang Agromakanan Family Financing Fund has been approved so far.
YAB Menteri Besar of Pahang, Dato' Sri Haji Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said as of October 15, Agrobank has received 304 applications worth RM75 million.
"As we are all well aware, the RM1 billion Malaysia Family Agro-food Financing Fund (DPAKM) was announced last June.
"The Fund is an initiative to ensure the sustainability of the country's food production activities involving the country's various major food commodities.
"And I am also informed that many applications are being processed by Agrobank, and are expected to be approved within this year," he said.
He said this during the Friendly Ceremony of YAB Menteri Besar of Pahang with Sustainable Modern Agriculture Cameron Highlands (SMACH) and the Handover of Malaysian Family Agromakanan Financing Fund Ranking of Pahang 2022 at Dewan Puncak Arabella, Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands.
Also in attendance, YB. State Secretary of Pahang, Dato' Sri Dr. Sallehuddin Ishak; and Exco of Agriculture, Agro Industry and Biotechnology of Pahang, YB. Dato' Sri Ir. Mohd. Soffi Tan Sri Abdul Razak.
He said the Government of Pahang also hopes that the cooperation between the Kingdom, Agrobank and other agencies in advancing this sector can continue for the benefit of the people and the country.
